Ingredient Spotlight: Each ingredient was selected to benefit the overall formula

Hawthorn – the fruit of the hawthorn tree is high in antioxidants and bioflavonoids. The high antioxidant content could help fight free radicals, slowing oxidative stress whereas the bioflavonoids may work to decrease inflammation. Traditionally known for having an affinity for the heart and cardiovascular system, hawthorn may affect circulation and blood flow.

With its ability to relax the coronary arteries during a sympathetic response, hawthorn is being researched as an anti-anxiety and anti-stress herb. Hawthorn has been said to gladden the heart, which may be supported by current research on its action as an antidepressant herb. Folk herbalism and anecdotal evidence also credit this herb with its ability to help keep attention and focus in those with attention deficit disorders.*

Rhodiola – the root of this stonecrop herb is a potent antioxidant due to its high polyphenol content, which is thought to help with cognition and in combating oxidative stress. The root has been classified an adaptogen and was traditionally used in Sweden and Siberia to adapt to the stress of winter. Adaptogens are a class of herbs that are said to support the body by helping it adapt to stressors without causing ill effects. Rhodiola root is believed to contain antiviral properties that support the immune system. This herb was listed in historic pharmacopoeias as an antidepressant and aphrodisiac, effects that are likely due to its ability to downregulate stress. While it supports reducing stress, it also acts as a mild nervous system stimulant and is thought to improve stamina.*

Rosehip – the fruit of the rose plant, a rosehip is packed with antioxidants and bioflavonoids. Rosehips are considered a nourishing herb, a wonderful source of vitamin C and minerals that may fight inflammation and support immune function. Rosehips are used as food and medicine and are generally considered safe for daily consumption. Rosehips have been associated with improved focus, a reduction in joint pain, and an uplifted mood. This prized foragers food may relieve other types of pain, a symptom associated with chronic inflammation.*
