I hope one of more of these books is helpful to you. Be aware not every book will be right for you, so do a little research before diving in.

I recommend reading no more than two books at a time as it can be more challenging to integrate. If you are being triggered by the material in any of these books, please take a break. The recommendation may not be right for you.

Most recommended books:

  1. Women Who Run with Wolves by Caroline Pinkola-Estes
  2. Radical Compassion by Tara Brach
  3. Radical Awareness by Tara Brach
  4. The Untethered Soul by Micheal A Singer
  5. You are Here by Thich Nhat Hanh
  6. The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by Dalai Lama and Desmond Tutu
  7. Resilience: Hard-Won Wisdom for Living a Better Life by Eric Greitens
  8. Complex PTSD: From Thriving to Surviving by Pete Walker
  9. It's About Damn Time by Arlan Hamilton with Rachel L. Nelson
  10. Mycophilia by Eugenia Bone
  11. Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
  12. Everything is Horrible and Wonderful by Stephanie Wittels Wachs
  13. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
  14. The Artists Way by Julia Cameron
  15. The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, M.D.
  16. The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck, M.D.
  17. Supernormal by Dean Radin PhD, Deepak Chopra, M.D.

  20. Everything is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo

I don't mind telling you I've read most of these books twice, or more. Reading a book for the second time can be helpful.

If you're like me, it can be a good idea to revisit books that have touched you in the past. Go ahead, dust off your treasured books and see what nuggets of wisdom are inside.
